The Center bears the name of Don Roberto Garza Sada in homage to his enduring legacy of philanthropy and dedication to fostering cultural advancement within our community at UDEM.
The CRGS distinctly embodies his profound interests and fervent passions. A trained engineer, Roberto Garza Sada was not only a professional in his field but also an architect, designer, and artist by virtue of his exceptional talents and innovative spirit. His generous and empathetic nature left an indelible imprint on his era and surroundings.
Beyond the confines of the corporate world, his ambitions extended generously towards the promotion of art, education, and culture.

She inherited from her father, Don Roberto Garza Sada, a passion for art, a sharp business acumen, and a strong commitment to community development.
As the primary benefactor of the Roberto Garza Sada Center for Art, Architecture, and Design at the University of Monterrey, she envisioned it as a "gateway of knowledge and a crucible for creativity," inviting the renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando to collaborate in its creation.
She made countless contributions in education, art, and philanthropy.

The artistic vision behind the building's design.
The Roberto Garza Sada Center (CRGS) was designed by Tadao Ando, the winner of the 1995 Pritzker Prize and one of the most renowned architects in the world. His first work in Latin America reflects the significance of the project.
Tadao Ando was born in 1941 in Osaka, Japan. In 1969, he established the company Tadao Ando Architect & Associates and has since been recognized for his numerous works in Japan and other countries.
Among his accolades are virtually all the awards Japan grants for architecture and the arts, as well as major international prizes.

Dr. Carlos García González
Carlos García González holds an International Doctoral Degree in Architecture, with a Cum Laude distinction, and a master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Projects from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He earned his undergraduate degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Alicante, where he received an award as the student with the most outstanding academic record.
He has more than 10 years of professional experience collaborating with renowned architects such as Rem Koolhaas in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, Rotterdam, where he was part of the team that presented the winning proposal for the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Building in China, which is already in operation.

Alessandra Perlatti
She holds a master's degree in Fashion with a specialization in Retail Management from the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Business Sciences from the Anhembi Morumbi University.
She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Media and Marketing from the University of Ribeirão Preto and has over 17 years of experience in fashion design in countries such as Brazil, the United States, and Mexico.
