We educate and train designers, artists, and architects who are capable of breaking paradigms and innovating to improve our quality
We enhance students’ independence to make their own decisions and develop their sense of community, as well as their ethical stance toward any situation.
The CRGS educational model was developed after carrying out a comparative study of the 14 best educational institutions in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. This model relies on six success factors:
- High student selectivity
- Internationally renowned faculty
- Cutting-edge infrastructure and equipment
- International projection of achievements
- A work culture oriented to research and innovation
- A strategy promoting creation and preservation

The most distinguishing feature of UDEM’s CRGS students is that their professional training develops under the culture of work in the “Interdisciplinary Studio”, which is designed under two different schemes: personalized design studio and collective design studio.
Both seek to strengthen students’ independence to make their own decisions and develop their sense of community, as well as their ethical stance toward any situation.
The learning-based model is thus realized. Students, with guidance from their advisors, will define their specific needs such as face-to-face or distance advising sessions, and independent research.
This whole process will be based on institutional principles. Learning should be meaningful, collaborative, experience-based, “learning by doing” and by own volition, in a permanent way.
