Biography

Colombian multimedia artist, teacher and researcher with an MFA in Media Arts from SUNY at Buffalo, NY. Her work has been exhibited in Germany Bauhaus - Universite, in Weimar; The New School for Social Research, in the United States; activities of the Banco de la República, in Colombia and CONARTE in Mexico; as well as festivals such as RESOUND in Denmark, Pixel Point, in Slovenia; Loop Barcelona; Klex Malasya; Megapolis NY; Videograma; and the Festival Internacional de la Imagen, in Colombia.

Her production is characterized by the use of hybrid techniques and methodologies with which she points out aspects of material culture in various technological devices. In recent years her work has focused on exploring the material culture of bioacoustic technologies in humans and animals. As a researcher she has participated in the edition of books and district programs in Arts, Science and Technology education. She worked as an assistant professor at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota and is currently an assistant professor at the Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico.
